11/03/2012 Qormi HC and Rabat share the spoils
The top of the table encounter between Qormi and Rabat ended up all square leaving the title race wide open. It was a very lively match with both teams giving their all and missing an opportunity to deal a blow to their opponents. In the end the 1-1 scoreline will make sure that we’ll have another nail biting end to the season.
04/03/2012 Qormi HC register third win in a row
Qormi HC extended their lead at the top of the table to 3 points after they beat Sliema HS 3-0. It was a relatively easy victory for the Yellows who were rarely troubled throughout the match. Qormi will meet Rabat in the final match of the second round next week in what is surely going to be a crucial match for both teams. Click here to read match report
26/02/2012 Qormi HC put 6 past White Hart
Qormi HC went back to the top of the table after they beat White Hart 6-2 in Sunday’s only match. In the end it was a comfortable victory but Qormi had to battle hard to achieve this result as White Hart proved to be very strong opponents. Click here to read match report
13/01/2012 Qormi HC Reserves increase lead at the top
Qormi HC Reserves beat Rabat by 4 goals to nil in Monday’s match which opened up a 4 point lead at the top of the table. Rabat played most of the match a man short and Qormi took full advantage by scoring 4 first half goals. In the first half Qormi were playing some great Hockey with Zahra and Micallef linking up well for the latter to score two of the goals. The other goals were scored by Calleja following a thunderous hit from the edge of the Dee and from Sarcia who powered the ball in from a short corner move. In their next match Qormi will face Sliema on the 12th of March.
29/01/2012 Qormi HC back to winning ways
Following their setback against Rabat, Qormi HC had to face Floriana YS in the first match of the second round. The Yellows won this match 2-1 going 2-0 ahead but having to hold out in the final minutes when Floriana were 1 goal away from stealing a point. 15/01/12 Qormi HC come out second best
Qormi HC were beaten by a determined Rabat side on Sunday and were at the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline. It was the first time in the past three seasons that Qormi have relinquished their lead at the top of the table. 11/01/12 Qormi HC’s Euro faith discovered
The European Hockey Federation has released the fixtures of next May’s European competitions. The Yellows will be playing in Club Challenge IV and are in the same group as HK Cukaricki of Serbia, Kringsja of Norway and Rosco Budapest HC of Hungary. The matches will be played from the 25th till the 29th of May with the winners of each group gaining promotion to Challenge III.
08/01/12 Qormi HC win 3rd match in a row
Qormi HC beat Sliema HS 5-2 to go top of the table on goal difference. It was a hard fought match with 1 goal separating both teams for large parts of the match. The Yellows took the upperhand in the closing stages by scoring another 2 goals. Next up Qormi face Rabat in a direct clash to determine the leaders at the end of round 1. 27/12/11 Reserves League Round-up
The 9-a-side Reserves League started earlier this month and the Yellows were involved in two matches. In the first match Qormi played against White Hart and they ran out 2-0 winners. Qormi keeper Fenech distinguished himself in the game and kept White Hart at bay on a number of occasions. In the second match a young Qormi side faced last season’s runners up Rabat and the match ended all square. Qormi were leading the game against an experienced team but Rabat managed to equalise to make the final score read 2-2. Qormi’s next match is against Sliema HS on the 23rd of January.
18/12/11 Qormi HC make it 2 wins out of 2
Qormi HC took maximum points out of this encounter with an easy win over White Hart. Qormi took the lead in the first minute and never looked back from then on scoring another three to make the final score 4-0. 13/12/11 Qormi HC celebrate 40th Anniversary
On this day 40 years ago, the foundations were laid for what today is one of the leading Hockey Clubs on the island. To commemorate this event, Qormi HC held their annual Chirstmas lunch on this special day. Members who formed part of this Club throughout its history joined together in this great celebration at the Corinthia Marina Hotel. It was a memorable day for all as Club President Sebastian Fenech addressed those present and invited Joseph Grech and Joseph “Chossie” Kerr to talk about the Club’s birth all those years ago. The members present were given the Club’s 40th Anniversary magazine as a memento of this landmark event.
04/12/11 Qormi HC start League commitments with a win
Qormi HC started the defence of their title on a positive note when they defeated Floriana YS 3-1. The Yellows took a 2 goal lead in the first half and added a third after the restart. From then on Floriana took the initiative and managed to reduce the deficit but the Yellows hung on to take maximum points. Click here to read match report
27/11/11 Qormi HC win HAM 6-a-side Tournament
Qormi HC fielded two teams in this tournament as they prepare for the start of a new league campaign. The Yellows won the tournament without losing a match and even managed to keep a clean sheet in all the matches played.
A number of youngsters played with the senior team for the first time and gained valuable experience. Next up the Yellows will meet Floriana YS in their 1st match of the National League.
20/11/11 Qormi HC claim 3rd place
Qormi HC beat Floriana YS to finish 3rd in this season’s Challenge Cup but they had to do it the hard way. The Yellows came from behind twice and won the tie on a penalty shoot-out. With the Challenge Cup over, all the attention turns to the National League as Qormi aim to start on a high when they face Floriana YS in their first match. Click here to read match report
13/11/11 Qormi HC knocked out of Cup
Qormi HC missed the opportunity to win this competition for the second year in a row when they were beaten by Rabat on penalties. The Yellows have only themselves to blame as they were leading the game 2-0 and totally in control of proceedings. 30/10/11 Qormi HC top Group A sealing passage to Challenge Cup semifinals
Qormi HC beat White Hart by 3 goals to nil to confirm their progress in the Challenge Cup knockout stage. White Hart gave a good account of themselves but had to succumb to the pressure Qormi exerted in the second half. 16/10/11 Qormi HC start Challenge Cup commitments with convincing win
Qormi HC played their first group game in this year’s Challenge Cup and ran out 4-1 winners against Sliema HS. The game was played in extreme conditions as the weather played a significant part in the match. This victory puts Qormi in pole position to finish 1st in Group A. Click here to read match report

Qormi HC have been drawn in Group A of the Challenge Cup together with Sliema HS and White Hart. Rabat and Floriana YS will battle it out in Group B. The first roundof matches takes place on the 16th of October.
01/07/11 Qormi HC End of Season celebration
On Friday, Qormi HC held their annual BBQ at the Club premises. All club members were invited for this event which attracted a large crowd. At the end of the evening the Club awards for all the categories within our club were given out.

28/05/11 Qormi HC retain Super Cup for the 2nd year running
Qormi HC avenged last week’s defeat in the Knock Out final by beating Rabat 2-0 to claim the Super Cup. This was the last match in the Hockey calendar and by claiming this prize Qormi now have 3 out of the 4 trophies available in their possession. It was a very balanced game with both teams having a go at each other but in the end Qormi prevailed.
